Emerald green mountains, endless white sandy beaches, turquoise sea – experiencing Hawaii from a bird's eye view is a paradisiacal experience. Keal Pontin regularly lets the tropical wind carry him over the majestic landscape, while waterfalls flow into dense rainforests below. Almost too good to be true.
We like to play a game here. It’s called how far past Mokoli’i can we go and return? This is my personal best.
Soaring above probably my favorite place on the island for its terrifying beauty. Just raw unconquered nature. We call it booga land.
There’s a reason we fly every sunrise we can. There is nothing better than being up high before the sun.
During the “winter” months here sunrise flights become the norm at Kahana as we get more northerly winds allowing us to fly different places. Probably the best place to catch the sunset is here over Keana Point. It’s always so incredible.
If you make it above the low-hanging clouds on humid summer days, you experience literally transcendent moments.
Sharing the final glide back to Kahana, the sunset over the valley is really hard to beat. Hawaii has to be one of the most spectacular places to share our sport.
