For Joël, paragliding is like a lesson for life: being aware of one’s own strengths and weaknesses. Playing with the weather and the mountains – a game without end, whose possibilities are unpredictable. He loves observing the evolution, whether in the equipment or in the practices. Every innovation is like a fresh wind that fills him. Where is the journey heading? What will happen? Not knowing – for Joël, that means freedom.

DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST FLIGHT? HOW WAS IT?
How could I forget! That magical moment between earth and sky, between enthusiasm and adrenaline. A true leap into the unknown. It is inevitably the moment when my life took on its full meaning.
WHat special MOMENTs DO YOU FLY for?
Those high-altitude take-offs with friends, at daybreak at 4000m or at 2000m, no matter… Feet in the snow, after a beautiful ascent, I unfold my little piece of fabric, so fragile,.. And then just a few steps are enough for the sky to be yours. And if you can link several in one day? Even better! Thanks to the pioneers.
